After Phil Spencer spoke about what the next-generation of Xbox will look like, he then transitioned into Halo Infinite. As a launch title for Project Scarlett, we weren’t given too much footage for the upcoming Halo title but we were given this brief “Discover Hope” trailer:

Halo Infinite - E3 2019 - Discover Hope

Developer 343 Industries have confirmed (via a blog post) that this is the last we’ll see of Halo Infinite for a while. Game Director Chris Lee stated:

“As for what’s next, E3 2020 will be a big moment for Halo Infinite. Until we reach that destination in 2020, we’ll continue to embrace the mystery and wonder of Halo and the endless opportunity and potential of this engine, this hardware and, most of all, this team.”

So, we most likely won’t see Halo Infinite until E3 2020. It’s unfortunate but it has set up Microsoft to have a fantastic showing at next year’s expo as they try to rectify the mistakes the platform made back in 2013 with the initial Xbox One reveal.

As a launch title for Project Scarlett, Halo Infinite will release sometime in late 2020.

Did you enjoy Microsoft’s E3 2019 briefing? Are you excited to play Halo next year? Let us know in the comments below and be sure to stay tuned to The Nerd Stash for all of the latest from E3 2019.
