HBO is bringing Game of Thrones to San Diego Comic-Con one last time. The Game of Thrones panel will happen Friday, July 19th at 5:30 PM in Hall H.
Cast members attending the panel include John Bradley (Sam Tarly), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), Liam Cunningham (Davos), Iain Glen (Jorah Mormont), Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm), Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei), Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran Stark), and Conleth Hill (Varys). Probably to the dismay of many who disliked Game of Thrones season 8, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss will be on the panel too.
It’ll be interesting to see what the cast says at the panel regarding their character’s final directions and the reception Benioff and Weiss receive at the event. As briefly mentioned above, the majority of fans did not enjoy Game of Thrones season 8 for reasons ranging from the quick dispatching of the Night King to Dany’s destruction of King’s Landing to even Bran “The Broken” Stark ending up on the Iron Throne. We all know HBO has a prequel series currently in production so the Game of Thrones universe isn’t going away anytime soon. But, this is probably the last time we’ll see this core cast of people appear on a panel like this. It’ll definitely be an event full of noteworthy quotes for sure.
The next day, HBO will have another Hall H panel for Westworld season 3 with many members of the cast making an appearance. Series alums Evan Rachel Wood (Dolores), Jeffrey Wright (Bernard), Thandie Newton (Maeve), Ed Harris (The Man in Black), and Tessa Thompson (Charlotte Hale) will be there along with newcomer Aaron Paul. Paul will seemingly play a big role in season 3 and was heavily featured in the season 3 trailer shown during the Game of Thrones finale. Series creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy will be there as well. The Westworld Hall H panel will happen July 20th at 1:15 PM.
