With The Witcher TV series releasing in just over a week, fans of the world of The Witcher want more information. Thankfully, it looks like Netflix wants to give us one last surprise. On the official Netflix Youtube channel, the final trailer for The Witcher is available to watch. The trailer gives us more insight into the characters, along with what we can expect from the show’s central plot.

The Plot

The trailer itself shows us a lot regarding the two main countries battling it out. On one end, we have the Nilfgaard Empire. They’re a country well known for conquering many of the countries on the Continent and are looking to the North as their next opponent. The North appears to be in trouble though, as they’re heavily outmatched by Nilfgaard. Thankfully though, not all hope is lost. A princess named Ciri (Freya Allen) has abilities that could turn the tide of the war and change the world. First, she must be found.

That’s where our protagonist, Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill), comes into play. Geralt is a Witcher, known for possessing special abilities and specializing in hunting monsters. He and a sorceress by the name of Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) must locate and protect Ciri if they have any chance of stopping the Niflgaard Empire.

From the looks of it, the show will be a great place to start for those interested in The Witcher. The show will release on December 20th and will feature eight episodes in the first season. If you’re a fan of this season, you’ll be happy to know the show has been renewed for a second season. Fans of grounded horror should especially enjoy this season.

Are you excited for the show to release? If so, what about the show has you the most excited? Be sure to tell us, and stay tuned at The Nerd Stash for more news, reviews, and more!
