Bethesda has released an update on the Wastelanders expansion forย Fallout 76. The update had been initially scheduled for 2019 but was pushed back later into 2020. Secondly, human NPCs will be added to the expansion for the first time.
However, they will need somewhere to live, and this is where Fallout 76ย introduces the Watoga Underground.
Watoga Underground is effectively a giant automated car parking garage, nicknamed as the “City of the Future.”
Bethesda said in a statement:
“Watoga, The City of the Future, envisions a bustling, walkable metropolis where the streets are clear of illegally parked automobiles, traffic and hit-and-run accidents,”
The underground car parking structure is decorated with a skull banner, an escalator lined with spikes and an old flagโs ominous warning, โLeave Or Dieโ.
So it would appear some very nasty people have made it their shelter.
A release date for the Wastelanders is unknown, yet they’ve hinted “coming soon”.ย
In the meantime, however, they have released Watoga artwork to give Fallout fans a taster of what to expect.
The good news continues, as there’s a double XP event from January 9-13, launching at 12 pm ET across the two dates. The update will be providing players with a new story, branching dialogue, companions, as well as human factions: the settlers and raiders.
Recently, an update was introduced into Fallout 76 online. The Survival Game Mode affected PVP combat mechanics and added a few others. However, it was not well-received on release.
Bethesda’s parent company, ZeniMax Media offered refunds to Australian players. According to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, (ACCC), ZeniMax allegedly misled players concerning their digital rights.
It appeared that ZeniMax was in violation of consumer law, and forced to offer refunds to Fallout 76ย players due to faulty products.
