“Liferun”, a new game mode to Fortnite, will premiere on-stage at PAX South 2020 in the PAX Arena. The event hosts gamers and content creators from January 17-19, streaming live on Sunday, January 19 at 10 a.m. CST.

Fortnite’s Liferun turns players into International Red Cross workers, whose aim will be to save lives across four missions, instead of taking them. The arena will also feature Overwatch League professionals, streamers, and a pro-am against Texas’ the Houston Outlaws.

DrLupo, ONE shot GURL, and Lachlan will compete on stage with Team Evolve, (the makers of Zone Wars and Creative Showdown).

Elsewhere, there’ll be a celebration of amateur esports with “Almost Pro”. It’s a massive open that’ll conclude with a multi-hour clash on-stage in the Finals.

Also, 50 competitors will compete in Fortnite solos, as casters “BalletW”, “MonsterDface”, and “Fickle_Platypus” call the action from the desk and stream.

Furthermore, on January 17, U.S competitors as young as 13 will be able to compete for the Almost Pro qualifiers, a first for the PAX Arena.

But there’s more from PAX South. Stream Stars return for their one year anniversary. They’ll be pitting Youtube and Mixer creators in a winner-takes-all showdown in Brawlhalla.

There’ll be appearances from Houston Outlaws during their Saturday Pro-Am. These include Shane “Rawkus” Flaherty, Austin “Muma” Wilmot, as well as DPS sensations, Jeffrey “blase” Tsang and Dante “Danteh” Cruz.

Coaches Harsha “Harsha” Bandi and Chris “Dream” Myrick” will also be in attendance. Popular streamers, AbdallahSmash026, Dr. Kendo, and QueenEliminator will be picking their favorite Legends, before going head-to-head in a single-elimination tourney on Friday.

By the end, they’ll be crowning a new Stream Stars champion.

PAX South 2020 will welcome fans and gamers from all over to Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center from Jan. 17 – 19, 2020. Three-day badges are available for $95, with single-day badges selling at $45.

Further information can be found on the official website of PAX South. or through their social media on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

Back in August 2019, PAX West kicked off in Seattle, running across four days until September 2.
