The agents of the Division have returned to New York, but not for a slice of pizza. The newest update to Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 takes players to Coney Island to face new challenges.

In Episode 3, Division agents are looking for a scientist who hopefully has a cure for the virus that has decimated the world. However, not everything is as it seems, and you will have to fight your way through a new threat.

The story trailer begins with a group of Division agents arriving at a destitute Coney Island, where the Black Tusk has set up camp. The agents are then attacked by what looks like Cleaners, which was a faction from the first The Division wielding axes and flamethrowers.

Division 2 Update Hints at New Weapon Specialization

Luck is on their side when an ally arrives wielding their flamethrower, highlighting that a new flamethrower specialization is coming in the latest update. The standard gunfights commence, with heavy gunners smashing through walls like Resident Evil 2’s Mr. X to come to get you.

This update will come to The Division 2 in February. It will be free for all players, but owning the Year 1 Pass gets you access to the update one week early.

Division 2

Along with the constant updates that come with these styles of games, The Division 2 has also had free episode updates that add more story missions. The other two episodes have primarily stuck to the Washington D.C. area, so this episode branching out could mean more expanded episodes in the future.

The Division 2 shifted the fight from the cold streets of New York to the humid swamps of Washington D.C. the Division agents must take on new threats vying to control the nation’s capital and more.
