Today, Yacht Club Games hosted their second event showing off everything that they’re working on in regards to current and new projects. This includes a lot of different things, and if you want to see them all live, you can watch the stream here. If that’s not what you fancy, though, we’ve decided to compile all that was revealed into one article. Without further adieu, here’s everything Yacht Club Games revealed at their event!
There are four reveals regarding what’s currently their only released IP, Shovel Knight. The biggest of those is that a new game is in the works, titled Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon! This game is a hybrid between a dropping block puzzle game and a dungeon crawler and is sure to be one of the more unique games you’ve played lately. You’ll be upgrading your skills, killing combos of classic Shovel Knight enemies, and joining new friends such as the Puzzle Knight. We, unfortunately, we don’t have a release date for the game yet. When we get more info on that, we’ll be sure to let you know.
The other three Shovel Knight reveals they aren’t as grand in scale but are still quite impressive. For one, Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove now has its final update ever! The community quite requests a lot of the features, and you can find more details on the official blog post. Shovel Knight Dig, on the other hand, has a new hexcavator to show off. This one is known as the Hive Knight and has a little Bento pet along for the ride. Shovel Knight will have to think differently when taking on this flying foe. And finally, there are some new stickers for you to use on your phone. All of these are Shovel Knight related, which should hopefully make texting more fun (or at least, more cute).
Other than Shovel Knight, Yacht Club Games had a few other things to say. Cyber Shadow, their upcoming ninja-action game, has released a story trailer. This shows off a lot of the ninja’s backstory, along with who you’ll be facing. You’ll have to confront your past and defeat those who wish to take control of this exciting action game. The game will be coming this Fall to Steam, PS4, Xbox One, and now Nintendo Switch. Along with this, there are a couple of new games being developed internally at the studio. They didn’t have anything to share, but it’s definitely something to get excited about!
If you’re a fan of Yacht Club Games, you have a lot to look forward to this year and beyond! Will you be playing any of these upcoming titles? What were your thoughts on Shovel Knight? Let us know in the comments below, and stay tuned here at The Nerd Stash!
