In the world of business, many startup companies end up making their way to massive success. For even more though, they lead down a dark path to eventual failure. Team17 and Aggro Crab Games seek to explore that idea with their upcoming game Going Under. Going Under is a dungeon crawler having you, a marketing intern, take on the CEOs of many failed and cursed start-up companies. The game will release later this year for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PS4.

Going Under is set in the dystopian world of tech giant Cubicle, having you take on the role of new marketing intern Jackie Fiasco. What seemed like a simple marketing position has become more than she bargained for, and now she must take on many enemies if she is to get her paycheck. She’ll go through different procedurally generated dungeons, taking on employees and CEOs of many different startup companies that have failed.

The developers promise solid combat, giving Jackie the ability to use anything at her disposal to traverse each level. Along with your adventures, you’ll unlock new ways to kill along with upgrades for Jackie. You’ll even be able to combo them to spice up your monster-slaying capabilities. Be ready for some terrible bosses to battle along with colorful co-workers for you to do work for. Filled with a lot of satire and charm, Going Under looks to be a solid dungeon crawler that’ll be equal parts memorable and hilarious.

If you want to keep up with the development of Going Under, you can check out their social media pages. You can also wishlist the game on Steam, which will help the developers out immensely. You can expect your corporate hack and slash fix later this year for consoles. What are your initial thoughts on Going Under? Enjoy any of Team17’s other published games?
