It’s hard to believe that Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing In Disguise will be with us in just over 2 weeks’ time. It’s hard enough to believe we are even getting a sequel in the first place, but that’s the world we live in now.
The first Deadly Premonition is a bonafide cult classic that is somehow 10 years old already and I for one can’t wait to see what the sequel brings to the coffee clad table. If you’re interested we wrote a bit more about the sequel here.
Fans hoping to glimpse more of part 2 are in luck as a new trailer has dropped today, and it’s just as weird as you’d expect.
The trailer, that you can see below, acts as a tourist advert for the games’ new setting of Le Carré, Louisiana. At least some of Deadly Premonition 2 will be set there as a present-day Boston will also feature.
I won’t spoil the video for you, but let’s just say that the idealistic tone of the video soon takes a sinister turn. The tourism board will definitely have their work cut out for them. Take a look:
Whilst the trailer doesn’t showcase any gameplay as such, it does give fans a glimpse of a couple of the mini-games that will be available including a river shooting game and bowling, a mini-game staple. The new art style also looks pretty nice.
Hopefully, with the release date on the horizon, we will start to see some more gameplay soon. I’m curious to see how it plays and how polished it will be this time around. Fingers crossed it won’t lose any of its shoddy charm.
We’ll bring you more on Deadly Premonition 2 as and when it comes in, as well as our views on it once it releases.
Let us know your thoughts on the sequel, as well as the first Deadly Premonition in the comments.
Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing In Disguise will release on the Nintendo Switch on July, 10 with a retail price of $49.99.
