Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is coming to Google Stadia on October 29.

While we’ve known for a couple of weeks the game is Stadia bound this fall, an announcement on the official blog has pinpointed the date. It will arrive on the streaming service the same day Sekiro gets a massive update on existing platforms.

Developers From Software had several happy announcements on Wednesday, touting the number of copies the hugely popular title sold since its release. Since its release in March of 2019, Sekiro sold more than five million copies.

As a kind of reward and an incentive, the game is getting new features including the ability to rematch old bosses. There are also going to be new outfits to dress your wolf in. From was quick to point out these are purely cosmetic and won’t make characters any stronger.

Something called Remnants are coming to Sekiro as well.

Remnantsare recordings of what a player does in-game for up to 30 seconds at a time and are available for use after the gameโ€™s tutorial. After a player records their Remnant โ€“ whether it is an epic takedown of an enemy or a flawless demonstration of a tricky movement technique โ€“ it can be uploaded along with a written message so that other community members can play it back. Through these Remnants, one could hope that they or others may gain the knowledge and further insight to overcome their current obstacle. For those seeking ultimate guidance on traversing treacherous areas, or seeking hidden alcoves or curious cubby-holes, these records may prove a blessing from the gods.

Buried at the end of the list of features was the launch date on Stadia. Some noticed the description says “download on Google Stadia” though it’s more likely this is simply a matter of a miswording.

What is clear is that the update coming to Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is going to be massive and now we know definitively when it will land on Stadia.
