It’s hard to remember the days when superhero films came out once every five years at the quickest. These days it seems like you can’t go online without being bombarded with news about an up and coming superhero movie. If you’re unhappy with this state of affairs… you’re on the wrong website entirely. For all those smart, good looking people who do want more super gossip, here’s some news on the new Spider-Man movie.

They’re not going away anytime soon. It’s our world now!!!

With Ant-Man almost here and all the publicity Batman v Superman, Suicide Squad and Captian America: Civil War are getting, it’s easy to forget the news bombshell that happened earlier in the year. Specifically, Marvel and Sony reaching a historic agreement that allows a rebooted Spidey to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Now that we’ve finished losing our minds over the ‘Suicide Squad’ trailer, we can pay attention to what’s happening with the new Spider-Man movie. Namely, that it appears that Sony has found a pair of writers to go with the lead actor and director they’ve already sorted out.

The duo in question are John Francis Daley and Jonathan M Goldstein who are currently in negotiations for the jobs.

‘I told you that you were overdressed…’

For those of you who don’t know, these are the guys behind ‘The Incredible Burt Wonderstone’ the ‘Horrible Bosses’ films and are co-directing the new Vacation movie.

At the very least, it’s reassuring that the writers for the Spider-Man movie are experienced comedy writers. The quip part of Spidey’s personality has been fairly uneven over the past five movies. We’ve had non-joking Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire) and snarking, but not very funny Spidey (Andrew Garfield). Hopefully the second reboot can do justice to that core part of New York’s greatest superhero.
