Iron Harvest has been something of a legend for fans of real-time strategy games, offering up a solid story and some even greater gameplay. It’s the reason the game still gets around 800 players and has a Mostly Positive rating on Steam. While I haven’t played the full game, I tried the open beta and found it to be enjoyable and engaging. Its been receiving consistent updates since its release at the start of September, and that only continues this month. Today, the team behind Iron Harvest released their October roadmap, showcasing what to expect over the next few weeks.

Iron Harvest

The first week sees some smaller but much-appreciated additions to Iron Harvest’s systems. There’ll be new cosmetics in the form of new mech skins and various profile images, but also the ability to heal and repair allies. A solid improvement, don’t you think? Week two sees a new 3v3 map to play on, offering up another intense battle arena for you and your friends. Week three follows that up with multiplayer XP and the highly requested ping system, giving you extra communication with your allies. Finally, in week four, you can expect a new challenge map to test your skills. Not too bad for additions this month if you ask me, with improvements to various systems and some extra content.

Haven’t heard of or played Iron Harvest? Then I suggest you look into it. Iron Harvest takes place in an alternate version of 1920, following the end of the Great War. Countries are finally recovering from the war, with only iron mechs being left in its wake. A new threat is coming out of the shadows though, looking to thrust Europe into another war and likely put an end to civilization as we know it. Will you be able to save Europe from destruction? You can purchase the game on PC, PS4, and Xbox One right now.

Are you excited for this month’s additions to Iron Harvest? If you’ve played through the single-player campaign, what did you think of it? Let me know in the comments below!
