From one of the biggest Japanese videogame companies Square Enix, and Sonic the Hedgehog‘s creators, comes Balan Wonderworld. It’s a new fantasy-filled 3D action platformer, and it teases with a new opening movie. You can expect a fantasy-filled world with plenty of exciting moments, and a lot of cuteness along the way. The opening movie stars two protagonists, Leo Craig and Emma Cole, as they enter a theater and meet Maestro Balan. Along with Maestro Balan, the theater is where they will start their journey to Wonderworld.
Together with Leo and Emma, players will explore the fantasy-filled and bizarre land of Balan Wonderworld. Here they can jump, climb, fly, smash, and more. Twelve different tales are waiting for the two, and each one has a unique quirk. The ultimate goal is to get the “heart” of each story. It is filled with tricks and traps to challenge you, which you’ll have to dodge to make it through. Also, there are over 80 costumes that the two can use to assist them in their journey. Each costume has a special power, like the Rail Runner costume that lets the players summon train tracks. Other outfits have the ability to walk in the air, freeze time, and so on.
Expect a wondrous action platformer as Balan Wonderworld combines two legendary creators. Yuji Naka, former head of the Sonic Team, and Naoto Ohshima, character designer of Sonic the Hedgehog, are joining forces for the first time in 20 years. The two created the BALAN COMPANY team and will bring in video developers, visual artists, and composers to provide the ultimate platformer experience.
