What’s the point of becoming a Legend if you can’t bask in the glory with a special someone? Thankfully, you don’t have to be alone. There is a handful of Cyberpunk 2077 romance options that players can enjoy. They do have specific requirements, however. So, don’t expect the ability to romance everyone with one V. If anything, this just encourages you to boot up a new game and try something different. Let’s get into all the available romance options, along with some extra intimacy moments you can have in the game.
There are four main characters you can romance in Cyberpunk 2077:
- Judy Alvarez
- Panam Palmer
- River Ward
- Kerry Eurodyne
Alongside them, there are other intimate encounters you can experience in the game listed below:
- Rogue Amendiares
- Meredith Stout
- Alt Cunningham
- Ruby
- Joytoys
As we mentioned, the main romances have requirements you must meet in Cyberpunk 2077. In other words, besides completing certain missions and choosing specific dialogue prompts, the characters have preferences. We’ll break down each one so you know who your V can spend quality time with.
Judy Alvarez
Requirements: Female voice | Female body type
Evelyn Parker will introduce you to Judy during “The Heist” mission in Act 1. You won’t hear from our favorite braindance techie again until Act 2. Contact and interact with Judy whenever you can. You start her questline once you get the “Ex-Factor” side mission. Follow the questline until you reach Pyramid Song and go for that dive mission. As long as you meet the requirements above, you can romance Judy in Cyberpunk 2077.
Be sure to choose the following dialogue option when it comes up in the morning after you spend the night with Judy:
- “The beginning of something amazing.”
It will cement the romance with Judy. Otherwise, the next dialogue choice will treat it like a one-night stand.
A V with a male body type and/or male voice can attempt to romance Judy. However, she’ll laugh it off until she makes her stance firm yet still friendly.
Panam Palmer Romance
Requirements: Male body type
Next up for characters you can romance in Cyberpunk 2077 is Panam Palmer. We encounter our passionate (and sometimes hardheaded) nomad-turned-mercenary during the “Ghost Town” main mission in Act 2. From there, you’ll run into her for several other quests. You won’t start her personal questline until you finish “Life During Wartime.”
You want to answer any call or message from Panam if you want to romance her in Cyberpunk 2077. It starts with “Riders on The Storm.” Don’t delay with this quest. If you wait too long, she will leave without you, and you will ruin any chance of romance with her.
When speaking with Panam, try to side with her for the most part. Reach the “Queen of the Highway” quest to trigger the romance.
Same with Judy, a V with a female body type can attempt to flirt with her. Panam will simply (and gently) shut her down. However, you can romance Panam with a female voice and a male body type.
River Ward Romance
Requirements: Female body type
In Cyberpunk 2077, it’s easy to miss the chance to romance River Ward. You can skip him entirely, in fact. That’s because his questline pops up in a side gig. It’s if you reach Rier 2 in street cred and complete the main quest, “Life During Wartime,” that you get the opportunity.
Look out for the sidequest “Fought the Law” as it’s here that you’ll meet River. His side missions aren’t as lengthy compared to Judy and Panam. But like Panam, you can lock yourself out of his romance in Cyberpunk 2077 if you mess up. So, choose the right farm and help him until the mission is over.
If you’ve done everything right, you’ll get the “Following the River” quest. Just choose the flirt options, and it’ll lead to a romantic encounter near the end. As a female body type is his only requirement, you can have a male voice for V and do the romance.
Kerry Eurodyne
Requirements: Male voice | Male body type
Kerry is as particular with his preferences as Judy. So, without meeting them, you’re regulated to the friendzone.
Now, onto the romance. You’ll meet Johnny’s blast from his past during his questline. To reach Kerry’s questline, you must finish the missions he appears in for Johnny. So, you’ll do “Holdin’ On,” “Second Conflict,” and “A Like Supreme.” At some point, Kerry will call you for help and kick off the “Rebel! Rebel!” side mission.
During his questline, show that you’re supportive of him. In “Off the Leash,” take the opportunity to kiss him. In “Boat Drinks,” you can kiss him again and choose to start a relationship with him at the end.
Other Romance Encounters in Cyberpunk 2077
Beyond the four main romances, V can experience extra fun if you wish. One is strictly in the past and not in V’s body. The rest you can do as our Legend in the making.
Rogue Amendiares
Requirements: Any V
Rogue is the famous and best fixer in all of Night City. She’s also one of Johnny Silverhand’s former flames. So, it doesn’t matter what V you have. She’s in it more for Johnny than for V.
As long as you’re friendly with Johnny by the end of “Chippin’ In,” you have a shot at an intimate encounter with Rogue. If you’re friends, you can call Rogue to start “Blistering Love.” Johnny will take over V’s body and go on a date with Rogue. The intimate encounter is brief as Rogue feels it’s unfair to V to go any further at the time.
Meredith Stout
Requirements: Any V
This isn’t quite a Cyberpunk 2077 romance, but you can enjoy a fun night with the stuck-up corpo. First, meet her during “The Pickup” quest before you go to the All Foods warehouse. Otherwise, you’ll miss her.
Once on her path, you can only take one of two options if you want the intimate encounter:
- If you took her infected credchip: Use the credchip to buy the Flathead or shoot Royce.
- If you rejected the infected credchip: Shoot Royce.
Eventually, you’ll get a message to meet her at the No-Tell Motel. As the name implies, what happens there will stay there.
Alt Cunningham
Requirements: Any V
This is an intimate encounter you can’t miss, and it doesn’t actually involve V. It’s all Johnny here as it takes place during the main mission, “Never Fade Away.” The flashback scene with her will happen automatically.
Ruby
Requirements: Any V
Johnny goes rogue in V’s body and meets Ruby Collins in the “Chippin’ In” sidequest. There’s not much of an encounter here, but it’s worth mentioning since it’ll happen regardless of the V you use.
Joytoys
Requirements: Any V
Joytoys are the sex workers in Cyberpunk 2077, and although you can’t romance them, you can have intimate encounters with them. There are male and female options, and they’re marked on your map for convenience.
Two of them are available near the start of the game around Japantown. The other two are unlocked later in the story during the “Off The Leash” side mission inside the Dark Matter Club.
