Having released last year, Professor Lupo and his Horrible Pets was a pretty fun puzzle game that hit the Switch to decent reviews, but not much fanfare. It can be pretty hard to get noticed on the Eshop, no matter how great you are. Thankfully, the professor has another chance to shine with Professor Lupo: Ocean, as it was today, announced that BeautiFun Games’ sequel will launch on the Nintendo Switch on December 28.

Continuing from the previous game, Professor Lupo: Ocean is a 2D adventure puzzle game that features beautiful 2D drawn characters and grid-based gameplay, with a set of challenging puzzles to be conquered on the way. Having woken up on an abandoned ship it’s up to you to navigate the area whilst utilizing the flow and currents of water to make progress. To make matters more difficult, there are harmful alien life forms on board that need to be avoided to make it through the game and find out who the character really is.

The story acts as a standalone sequel to Professor Lupo and His Horrible Pets, so fear not if you haven’t played the previous game as Ocean can be enjoyed by itself across its 40 levels and countless plot twists. The entire game is fully voice acted and features an original synth soundtrack that’s set to be released for free for everyone.

Professor Lupo: Ocean releases on the Switch on December 28 at the bargain price of $4.99. Should you be interested in the previous game, a bundle of the two is also available for $15.99.
