According to a number of reports, the way that the Avengers split has apparently been leaked, with some reports apparently showing which Avengers will be facing off against each other in Captain America: Civil War. Although it’s still currently just speculation, how the team may fair still seems pretty interesting.

As per Heroic Hollywood, Team Captain America in the film will be composed of:

  • Captain America,
  • Hawkeye,
  • Falcon,
  • Scarlet Witch,
  • Ant-Man, and
  • The Winter Soldier

The team facing off against Cap and his impressive allies will be composed of:

  • Iron Man (as team leader),
  • The Vision,
  • Spider-Man,
  • Black Widow, and
  • War Machine.

According to the reports, Black Panther will remain neutral during Captain America: Civil War, as he’s set to be on his own mission due to personal problems that will unfold during the start of the film, although it’s unclear if the Avengers have any part in this.

However, the one thing that hasn’t been worked out as of yet is how Bruce Banner, a.k.a the Hulk, will factor into this, due to the fact that he seemingly disappeared at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron, apparently for Black Widow’s own good. According to reports though, Mark Ruffalo, who has portrayed Banner in all of Marvel’s movies since the first Avengers movie, has been spotted on the set of Captain America: Civil War.

If the reports turn out to be true, then Marvel have been keeping fairly quiet in regards to him appearing in the film, as he still isn’t confirmed to be appearing. Should he actually be appearing in the film, Marvel must be keeping his role as a surprise, and he may not be appearing in most of the film. Since Banner and Black Widow were romantically linked in Age of Ultron, it would be surprising if he didn’t ally himself with her and Team Iron Man, depending on whether or not the conflict has been resolved by the time he appears.

Captain America: Civil War is set to be released on May 6, 2016.
