First, they petitioned to save the Snyder Cut. Now, they want to save the Snyderverse.
Zack Snyder’s army of devoted fans has recently made the hashtag #RestoretheSnyderverse trending on Twitter. Seemingly impressed by what they’ve seen from the Justice League director’s ‘Snyder Cut’, Snyder’s loyalists continue to enthuse over the upcoming film across the web. But it turns out, they’re now after more than just the four-part HBO Max movie.
Heck, even Ray Fisher – who plays Cyborg in Justice League and cameoed in BvS: Dawn of Justice – supports the movement.

Fisher’s endorsement of the Snyderverse is perhaps not all that surprising. In July, the 33-year-old actor accused theatrical cut director Joss Whedon of “gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable” behavior. He has claimed that the cast was lied to about Whedon being “handpicked” to replace Snyder for the 2016 release.
Fisher has also recently claimed he would no longer work with DC Films president Walter Hamada, describing him as the “most dangerous kind of enabler”. Given Fisher’s animosity against Hamada, it’s unknown whether we will see him reprise his role as Cyborg in future productions. Rumors say that his solo Cyborg movie is dead as DC and Warner Bros. pursue movies starring other characters from their iconic roster.
It’s a shame if Snyder never gets the chance to further his vision. The 54-year-old filmmaker had mapped out a vision for a five-movie story arc featuring DC big baddie Darkseid. However, current DCEU plans mean it could be curtains for this. Then again, given fan demand created Zack Snyder’s Justice League, who’s to say DC won’t answer this newer demand if it gets loud enough?
Meanwhile, fans can watch the four-hour ‘Snyder Cut’ on HBO Max in March 2021. Warner Bros. and HBO Max are currently looking into ways of distributing the film outside the US.
