To get Large Milk, you will have to raise your affection rating with their cows up to five hearts. The heart meter goes up by half and each half is 100 affection points. Affection in an animal can rise a few different ways. First, you should be sure to pet your cows every day. Then, you need to remember to feed them every day as well. You can get extra points if you allow your cows to graze outside as well. However, don’t forget and leave them outside at night. This will drop the majority of affection you raised that day.
For raising an animal’s mood, you really need to do the same things you do for raising affection. You should pet and feed the animals every day. During winter, you will need to put a heater inside their pen. It seems even cows get cold. The best way to raise an animal’s mood is to let them eat outside, however. Once the cow’s affection and mood are maxed out, you will have a higher chance of getting Large Milk than you would otherwise.
