In a time where the online service genre is becoming more saturated, Marvel’s Avengers has had a rough start. Competing with some robust content expansions from Bungie with Destiny 2, fans have been waiting to hear about more content to keep them playing. Crystal Dynamics initially launched with only a handful of heroes but with plenty of promises for the future of the title. With the last War Table placing Kate Bishop at center stage, the time seems right for a more robust upgrade to the title. Announced on the Marvel’s Avengers official Twitter page is a new look at Hawkeye’s upcoming addition to the roster and an update on next-gen systems.

While the tweet leaves out some of the finer details to come, fans won’t have to wait too long as the new information is only 3 weeks away. Originally planned to launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X a few months after its August 14 launch, the delay was in response to the performance of the title being very lackluster. Promising to iron out the details and ensure a higher quality of updates, the decision was made to delay the next-gen versions to 2021. Hopefully, this new livestream will shed new details on when fans can expect to play on their shiny new systems. While it’s still unclear on what more substantiated updates will be made, fans can predict the time between the reveal and launch of a new character thanks to Kate Bishop’s addition in early December. Being only a month apart, Marvel’s Avengers addition of Hawkeye hopefully won’t delay too long and launch in early March. While updates have been sparse, the first War Table of the year will hopefully be the first in a long list to come.
Let us know in the comments what you think about the upcoming updates to Marvel’s Avengers and whether or not you might join the fray when the patches go live.
