The residents of the United Kingdom and Europe will see an increase in the prices of their PlayStation Plus subscriptions.

Specially, Sony is increasing the prices of the monthly and three-month options for PlayStation Plus.

Sony delivered a statement that said, โ€œwe are dedicated to bringing PlayStation Plus members the best possible service with the most compelling content. From September 1, 2015 we will be increasing the price of monthly and three-month PlayStation Plus subscriptions in line with market conditions.โ€

The statement then went on to add, “we will continue to invest in PlayStation Plus to ensure an unparalleled experience, featuring the best quality games and features.โ€

Hard to r
Who can resist!

The current prices in those regions stand at ยฃ5.49 ($8.57) for monthly, and ยฃ11.99 ($18.71) for the three-month option. However, the 12 month subscription is unchanged and will remain the same price. Sony has yet to confirm what the increased costs will be.

This is not the first time Sony has increased the prices of their PlayStation Plus. Back in October 2014, select countries saw a rise in their subscriptions. This included South Africa, Ukraine, Russia, Turkey, and several regions in India; with South Africa being hit the hardest.

As it currently stands, these price increases will not make their way to the United States. Sony confirmed this in an interview with Joystiq back in October.

“Currently, price adjustments are not being planned for PS Plus in the SCEA region.โ€ SCEA being their North American region.

Does the price increase affect you in any way? If not, are you worried it will increase in your region at some point? Let us know in the comments section.
