PlayStation’s VR Spotlight has returned this morning and will be dropping information about upcoming releases throughout the day. That’s right. Every half hour, PlayStation will be releasing a new announcement about upcoming virtual reality games. This event comes on the heels of information regarding a next-gen VR release by Sony. With their promise to bring a new VR system to the PS5, PlayStation has also decided to entice fans with a slew of upcoming games.

For eager fans, head to PlayStation’s official blog, and be ready to refresh the page about every 30 minutes.

A look at the “wrist-mounted display to track your health, armor, and ammo.”

As of this article, the first two announcements, Doom 3: VR Edition and Fracked have just hit the blog.

The first reveal looks to offer players a VR-experience through Doom 3 and its expansions. PlayStation offered a brief teaser via their blog:

Feel even closer to the terror with all-new VR enhancements that allow you to peer around corners, angling your shots with flashlight-mounted weapons using motion controls, 180-degree quick-turn functionality to catch demons sneaking up from behind and an immersive wrist-mounted display to track your health, armor and ammo. Combined with the original Doom 3’s critically acclaimed blend of action and horror gameplay, virtual reality fans are in for one Hell of an experience with Doom 3: VR Edition. “

While PlayStation did not specify, fans are left wondering if the game will be compatible with the classic DualShock controller or only with the Aim controller that is mentioned in the announcement.

Directly after that, PlayStation announced a game centered around the PS Move controller, Fracked, along with a teaser trailer:

Are these VR Spotlight announcements more exciting than PlayStation’s State of Play? Will you be daring enough to step into the world of Doom 3: VR Edition? Share your thoughts below, and share this around so others don’t miss out.
