Cyjin and Thoughtful Velocity

Cyjin: The Cyborg Ninja begs the question: “CAN YOU BEAT THIS GAME WITH JUST YOUR MOUSE?!” It may sound simple at first, but upon watching the game’s trailer for Pre-Early Access, you might begin to think otherwise.

Cyjin Early Access 2D game

Developed by Aiya games, Cyjin: The Cyborg Ninja follows the fast-paced story of a fallen cyborg ninja. His ultimate rival has defeated him, casting away our titular hero from the castle high above. Now, his new journey commences, from the literal ground-up. The game’s setting takes inspiration from Oriental and cyberpunk themes, with a variety of levels to venture through and on.

The player controls Cyjin with only their mouse, with 2D platforming taking center stage for the game’s action.ย  You can latch onto surfaces and bolt through enemies, while continuously mastering your precision and momentum. In addition, the game features exhilarating puzzles, obstacles, and boss fights that’ll intensify Cyjin’s consistent rapidity.

The Pre-Early Access trailer showcases all of the aforementioned mechanics and features. Together with a rocking synthwave track, the trailer wonderfully fits all of its teasing qualities in under a minute. On a side note, the Aiya Games YouTube channel also contains a couple of speed-painting videos for eager players to check out.

Second Pre-Early Access Trailer

Aiya Games was formed just earlier this year. Its inception began when a gaming entrepreneur, a designer (who previously worked on Home Sweet Home), and a community manager wanted to assemble a team. Comprised of dedicated game developers, the studio is aiming to bring Cyjin: The Cyborg Ninja to Steam later this year. Although no release date has been specified, the game is still in Early Access, with the developers adding more content before Cyjin‘s official arrival. Players can wishlist the game now through its Steam page. Be sure to let us know what your thoughts are on this unique platformer in the comments below.
