DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Season 6 isn’t exactly starting tomorrow -but itย isย starting soon.
Thankfully, the Powers-That-Be have released a new trailer, showcasing the new season. Fans are no doubt eager to learn just what happened to Sara Lance after she was abducted by aliens in the Season 5 finale. The trailer shows that this is set to be answered – among other things.

Co-Showrunner Phil Klemmer has implied that Season 6 is very character-focused. “Not having to understand who our villains are on any kind of emotional scale means we can focus on the emotional stories of our characters”, he states in a 2020 Entertainment Weeklyย interview. Despite this, fans can expect to see “motley assortment” of aliens as the Legends attempt to rescue Sara from her captors.
The CW is evidently fond ofย Legends of Tomorrow.ย Arrowย ended with its eighth season in 2019, whileย Supergirlย is concluding with its upcoming fifth season due to low ratings. In comparison to the latter, Legends of Tomorrowย is already renewed for a seventh season as of February 2021. Alongside this, fellow Arrowverse shows Superman & Loisย andย Batwomanย have also received orders for the next TV Season.
Legends of Tomorrow is victim to COVID-inflicted production postponement. Filming was initially thought to begin on October 5, 2020 in Burnaby, British Columbia. By September that year, however, the shooting was suspended because of COVID-19 test results delays. Filming eventually began on October 8, 2020 and is expected to conclude May 10 this year.
Fans can finally see the fruits of this labor on May 2, 2021 when Season 6 premieres on the CW. Here’s hoping for a quality 15-episode run.
