Hot on the heels of last week’s news that FIFA 21 is heading to Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft has announced a slew of games heading to the subscription service this month, including a few heavy hitters.
In a news wire published today, Microsoft revealed that no less than nine titles would hit the service throughout May. First up is block-building fantasy RPG Dragon Quest Builders 2, which arrives from tomorrow, May 4, on both Xbox Game Pass for PC and console.
Following close behind on May 6 is a triplet of games, including the aforementioned FIFA 21, which joins the service as part of EA Play. The other two are the survival horror game Outlast 2 and Ubisoft’s alpine extreme sports sim Steep. All three will be available on console and PC.
May 13 is set to be the Xbox Game Pass’s biggest day this month when five games will be available. These are Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster (console and PC), Just Cause 4: Reloaded (cloud, console, and PC), Psychonauts (cloud, console, and PC), Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Online (cloud and console – no PC, unfortunately), and Remnant: From the Ashes (PC).
Xbox Game Pass Perks and Quests
Ultimate members will benefit from new perks starting from tomorrow, too, including an NBA 2K21: MyTeam bundle, a four-month ad-free Spotify Premium subscription for new Game Pass subscribers, and Apex Legends: Star Wars Weapon Charms to celebrate May the 4th Star Wars day.
New zombie-themed quests also hit the service from tomorrow, including:
- Minecraft (150 points): Kill 20 zombies or monsters
- Resident Evil 7: biohazard (150 points): Obtain 5 items
- State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition (150 points): Kill 11 zombies
- The Evil Within (150 points): Kill 3 enemies
Microsoft also notes that several games are leaving the service on May 15: Alan Wake, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2, Dungeon of the Endless, Final Fantasy IX, Hotline Miami, and Plebby Quest: The Crusades.
