PlayStation Now may have not received as much attention as other services such as Xbox Game Pass or even PlayStation Plus, but there is obviously an audience for the streaming service that Sony unveiled way back in 2013, judging by the news that Sony recently released. Published via a post on the PlayStation Blog, Sony revealed the top games played on the service during its Spring 2021 timeframe, which it later describes as between March 1 and June 1. It covers both downloading and streaming metrics for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and streaming for the app on PC (where you can only stream, not download). In both sets of lists, three games show up consistently – Horizon Zero Dawn by Guerilla Games, Marvel’s Avengers by Square Enix, and Bloodborne by From Software.

Marvel Drinks, PS Now, Avengers and Bloodborne

The list for PS4 and PS5 for both streaming and downloading:

  • Marvel’s Avengers (available until July 5, 2021)
  • Horizon Zero Dawn
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops III (previously available through April 29, 2021)
  • F1 2020 (not available in Japan)
  • WWE 2K19

And the list for PS Now streaming on PC:

  • Bloodborne
  • Horizon Zero Dawn
  • The Last of Us
  • Marvel’s Avengers
  • Detroit: Become Human

There’s a lot of choice on PlayStation Now, with over 700/800 games to choose from (depending on your region). Over 300 of those are downloadable to your PS4 or PS5. The service has a number of games that last on differing schedules than others. Some of the games on the lists above, like Call of Duty: Black Ops III, for example, aren’t on the service anymore, but most of the others are still there. Bloodborne has been on the service for a few years now, while Avengers and Horizon Zero Dawn are fairly recent additions to PS Now. There are some great franchises on PS Now – here are a few of them.

PlayStation Now is gearing up for its next monthly influx of games, the most being June’s lineup, which included a couple of Sonic games in celebration of the blue hedgehog’s upcoming 30th anniversary. Those games were Sonic Forces and Team Sonic Racing, the three most recent entries in the franchise (however it did not include the expanded ‘Plus‘ rerelease of Sonic Mania) and was joined by the Game of the Year edition of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt.

Are these results for PlayStation Now’s Spring charts what you might have expected? Leave a comment.
