The small indie team over at Dark Lord is ready to unveil their debut title for early access, Glitchpunk. The announcement comes with an action-packed trailer that reveals the game’s early access release date.
Enter a New World of Cyberpunk Corruption and Action
Set in a cyberpunk world inspired by the likes of Grand Theft Auto 2, players assume the role of an android. When life-altering glitches occur, the android begins to think independently, ultimately going against their entire programming. With this gift, our hero takes it upon himself to take down the oppressive government forces that rule above all. But there’s also the infested hordes of sex-crazed maniacs and druggies that lurk in the streets, waiting to cause trouble.
With this in mind, Glitchpunk aims to truly open the world to the player with their individual actions. You can influence the ever-growing world around you: forge new allies, stir trouble with gangs, shoot or hack, etc. The game will feature multiple endings to make every experience unique, and that will only change down the early access roadmap.
When it launches on Steam, the city of New Baltia will be available to explore and cause hell in. With approximately up to eight hours of gameplay, it’ll definitely be enough until the next update rolls in next month. When that occurs, the city of Outpost Texas will be released. Additionally, Neo Tokyo and Moscow will be added down the line.
Glitchpunk Release Date Trailer
This top-down shooter is filled to the brim with action scenarios, as seen in the release date trailer. Explosive scenes, adrenaline-filled car chases, bloody shootouts, and all that you can think of in the cyberpunk world. The trailer ends with the official early access release date being unveiled for Glitchpunk: August 11, 2021.
Players can add Glitchpunk to their wishlist now through Steam. There is no official launch date for the date as of now aside from the early access details. Glitchpunk is being developed by Dark Lord, a small indie team of seven. Its publishing is being handled by Daedalic Entertainment, who are also developing The Lord of the Rings: Gollum.
