PlayStation has their new crop of PlayStation Plus free games for October 2015, with a great focus on indie titles. These are always my favorite, it’s how I first experienced some of may favorite games of all time like Fez and Flower… but I digress.

The List:

  • Broken Age (PS4 & Vita)
  • Super Meat Boy (PS4 & Vita)
  • Unmechanical Extended (PS4 & PS3)
  • Kickbeat (Vita & PS3)
  • Kung Fu Rabbit (Vita & PS3)
  • Chariot (PS3)

In With the Indies, Out With the Cars:

You’ll instantly notice great additions like the now classic Super Meat Boy, a punishing, fun, and fast-paced platformer. As well as Double Fine’s Broken Age, an episodic story-driven experience of two characters in different universes, yet are so close to each other. While those two will be available for both PS4 and Vita, PlayStation Plus members on PS3 can “enjoy” the couch co-op experience of Chariot, a twin-stick-like cooperative game known as a cute but difficult platformer.

The lineup is interesting not only because of what’s included, but what was omitted; Drive Club-PlayStation Plus Edition. What was originally announced as a free-to-play driving game for Plus members, will be taken down as a free option. The game was launched under disastrous conditions back in June of this year, with numerous bugs and crash issues, yet the game has still gone on to sell (the full retail version) two-million units worldwide.

Make sure to grab your September games from PlayStation Plus before their all gone, the new list will take over on October 6th.

David is a lover of all things nerdy & geeky! (Nerd IS the new cool after all!) From the wee age of 6 he made his way to a Canadian Tire, purchased a SNES for $200 in in-store credit money (Canadian Tire money for Canadians out there), and hasn't looked back! He loves the classics like Donkey Kong, Mario, and Roller Coaster Tycoon, but is deep into the new age of gaming with Heroes of the Storm, Apex Legends, and indies like Thomas Was Alone, and Mark of the Ninja.
