This is the way. The Mandalorian Season 3 is finally in production according to Carl Weathers, who portrays Greef Karga. Many Star Wars fans have been waiting for updates on when the next season of this series would be coming and now we at least know that it’s finally moving forward. Weathers took to Twitter to share his excitement about returning to this series.

In his Twitter post, he said, “Mandalorian, season #3 begins for Yours Truly, on tomorrow. Greef Karga will be back on Disney+. #BePeace.”
Carl Weathers also confirmed previously that he would be returning to the director’s chair for an episode in The Mandalorian Season 3, according to Digital Spy. Weathers directed episode 4 of Season 2 of The Mandalorian.
Fans are looking forward to seeing where the series goes in Season 3. Last we saw our helmeted hero, Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal), he had gone separate ways with Grogu (Baby Yoda) as Grogu left with Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill). It was an incredibly emotional moment that had many asking “what now?” Season 2 was all about Djarin helping Grogu find a new home and now that Grogu’s gone, many are wondering where the series will go.
Other returning characters for Season 3 will most likely include Katee Sackhoff as Bo Katan and Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon. Gina Carano will not be returning as Cara Dune after she was fired from the project.
Star Wars fans still have plenty to look forward to in the meantime. The Book of Boba Fett will premiere on Disney+ on Dec. 29. This series was confirmed in a post-credits scene in The Mandalorian Season 2 finale and will see Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) and Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) navigate the galactic underworld that is now up for grabs after the death of Jabba the Hutt. Other shows on the way include Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka, and Andor.
There is still no official release date for The Mandalorian Season 3.
