BitLife is a free mobile game where you can live life through the eyes of a random character that you create. You begin by naming your character and choosing where they will live, then age until their life ends. However, you will likely run into advertisements as you play the game, which may become frustrating if you play often. While simply removing ads is an option, Bitizenship is a slightly more expensive alternative that offers additional benefits. By the end of this guide, you will learn how to become a Bitizen in BitLife.

How to Become a Bitizen in BitLife

The only legitimate way to become a Bitizen is by purchasing it with real-world money. In the United States, it costs $4.99 excluding taxes. Bitizenship is a one-time payment, meaning that once you pay for it once, you will not have to pay any additional monthly fees to keep it. By purchasing Bitizenship, you become an official “citizen” and unlock numerous perks. Some of the VIP benefits you gain include the following:

  • Advertisement-free gameplay. Your character can also go to the movie theatre, and gain boosts to happiness, health, smarts and looks without watching ads.
  • More generations. You can move on to the next generation when your character passes away and continue playing the game. Non-Bitizens can only play up to two generations for one family, while Bitizens have unlimited generations.
  • You can switch between Light and Dark mode.
  • More options to buy pets. These new shops include dog and cat breeds, an exotic pet dealer, a horse ranch, and a pet store.
  • Unlock eye exams and optometrist visits.
  • Change your character’s appearance.

Whether you purchase Bitizenship is entirely up to you. Since BitLife is a free game, you are not required to buy a premium membership to play. If you do play the game often and wish to support the developers while unlocking some bonus perks, becoming a Bitizen is an option. Alternatively, you can purchase God Mode, which allows you to edit any character’s names, looks, and stats. God Mode also lets you choose your character’s special talent and royalty status. Becoming a BitLife Bitizen does not give you these perks.

BitLife is available on Android and iOS.
