A brand new trailer for season 4 of Netflix’s Stranger Things was released earlier today via the official Twitter page. The details of the trailer revealed that this upcoming season will take place in California, following Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) moving in with the Byers family at the end of season 3. Although an official release date was not shown, the trailer further confirmed that the season will air at some point in 2022. Season 4 officially started shooting in early 2020, but like so many other productions, filming halted due to the coronavirus pandemic. This is why the wait has been longer than usual the arrival of the upcoming season following the previous, which was released in July 2019.

Trailer Details
A new trailer reveals that spring break will be the main focal point of this season. This is the fourth in a series of teaser trailers for the upcoming season, the previous three being released periodically following the initial announcement. The clip begins with Eleven narrating a letter she wrote to Mike (Finn Wolfhard), describing how much she likes her new school and all the friends she has made. We get a few quick cuts of the roller rink, Eleven watching skaters before cutting to her looking upset, someone shooting through windows, Joyce looking at a creepy doll, government thugs restraining Eleven, helicopters, explosions, and a dial being turned up.
The new announcement is intended to come as part of Netflix’s celebration of “Stranger Things Day“. This day is meant to “commemorate” the in-universe date of November 6th, 1983 — the day that Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) first disappeared into the dark Upside-Down dimension in the first season of Stranger Things.
This may be the final season 4 teaser trailer for Netflix’s Stranger Things before the release of a longer, full-length trailer to reveal details on the course of the season.
