There are very few games quite like The Stanley Parable.The game is a part exploration of story, games, and choice, and part try not to have a mental breakdown as you try to figure out if you can even beat the game at all. Considering it is one of the unique games out there, garnering a legion of fans, it isn’t surprising that Stanley Parable designer William Pugh has launched a new studio called Crows Crows Crows. He’s also teasing an unnamed mystery game, described as “a weird puzzle,” game that’s “due to quite imminently”.
In true Stanley Parable-style, he is slowly revealing it via a web-based ARG. Alongside the puzzle, three mysterious screenshots from the game have also been revealed, which you can check out below.
In the A.807 file on the website, you’ll find a collection of documents for what we may presume is an investigative report. There’s talk of stolen items, a timeline of events, some clues, and letters between characters called Inspector Lavigne and Deputy Angelo. Judging from the information, it maybe safe to assume that the game is taking a different direction The Stanley Parable. Or I could be totally wrong and the developers are only trying to make us think that it’s different.
If you stay on the page for you’ll be transferred to a page titled Mayflower Networking System. Apparently there’s an entire subreddit dedicated to decrypting this teaser for clues. Unfortunately, that’s all the info we have so far on the new game.
