Dying Light 2 features what are arguably some of the better-developed side quests available in open-world gaming. They aren’t the absolute best and aren’t the first to do something this well, but the level of detail and thought put into each one has to be commended.

One such quest that you can partake in is the Black Widow quest, which sees a woman accused of murdering her boyfriends and being ready to murder yet another. With plenty of choices available to you, you may be struggling to pick the right one. No need to worry, as, in this guide, we’ll show you all the choices and consequences of the Black Widow quest in Dying Light 2!

All Black Widow Choices and Consequences in Dying Light 2

The first choice comes as you go to raid the alleged murderer’s apartment in an attempt to find the poison she’s been crafting to kill her partners. As you finally find a bottle of the stuff, though, she finds you and holds you at knifepoint, though the Peacekeeper guards barge in and asks what’s going on. This first choice will completely change the arc of the quest, with one straight-up ending the quest right there and then.

If you choose to tell the guards about the poison and say it’s killing people, she’ll be taken away to likely be hanged in the coming days. You’ll also earn your reward of several thousand combat XP and cash. If you keep things quiet, though, she’ll still be taken away, but you can prove her innocence. Through a long list of objectives, you’ll get in contact with a Plague Witch and discover it’s not a form of poison but rather antibiotics, which are a rare sight in the apocalypse.

When you return and try to convince Meyer that these are, in fact, antibiotics, she asks that you take them to prove that it isn’t poison. This leaves you with a second option: drink or don’t drink the bottle. If you choose not to drink, then as expected, the woman will still be killed. If you drink, though, the bottle won’t have an immediate effect on you, and she’ll be set free, though the one accusing her of the murder will be incredibly upset with you. You’ll still get your reward, though.
