Rainbow Six Extraction launched last month. The game is the latest entry in the Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six series of tactical first-person shooters. Today, Ubisoft launched the first post-release content for the game. New trailers and a press release published earlier today introduced the Rainbow Six Extraction Spillover Crisis Event.
What are Crisis Events? According to today’s announcement, Crisis Events are special, limited-time events that allow players to participate in fights against “unique, large-scale threats.” The press release went on to describe the Rainbow Six Extraction Spillover Crisis Event:
“As Sprawl Colonies spread across the hot zones, players must use the new Dissolution Agent canisters to draw out waves of enemies and wipe out colonies of the alien Sprawl. To face off against the hordes of Archaeans descending upon them, a strategic and defensive approach is crucial to survival. All players who login during Spillover will have a chance to earn the exclusive new REACT tech: the Auto-Turret, a deployable turret that automatically targets and attacks Archaeans.”
What Else Is Included In Rainbow Six Extraction Spillover?
In addition to the new Crisis Event, Rainbow Six Extraction Spillover marks the arrival of the game’s 19th operator, Zofia. Zofia was an Operator in Rainbow Six Siege and is now available in the Rainbow Six Extraction Spillover Event as well as the main game. According to the press release, Zofia is armed with a grenade launcher that can be outfitted with REACT Tech.
Today’s press release did not state how long the Rainbow Six Extraction Spillover Crisis Event will last. More information about the event is available on the game’s official website.
