Elden Ring provides a variety of endings for you to achieve in your quest to become Elden Lord. One of the variations available is the Blessing of Despair ending, which is directly tied to the Dung Eater questline. You will reach a point in his quest where you will need five of the key items called a Seedbed Curse to give Dung Eater in order to progress. These Seedbed Curse items will be found on corpses that the Dung Eater supposedly killed and “defiled” on his quest to curse everything he comes across and prevent their souls from returning to the Erdtree. Since they are spread all over The Lands Between in Elden Ring, you will want to know where to find these items as they require a little exploration in this massive game. In this guide, you will know all the Seedbed Curse locations found in Elden Ring.
All Seedbed Curse Locations In Elden Ring
Volcano Manor
The first Seedbed Curse you can come across is in a secret area you can access at the Volcano Manor area of Mt. Gelmir. You will want to start from the Temple of Eiglay Site of Grace, where you should have fought a Godskin Noble boss. Head to the end of the temple hall and take the short lift up that will be to the right of the altar. Walk out and around the balcony to the opposite side, where you can drop down near a small magma pool infested with Burning Slugs. Keep to the right as you climb up the brief and narrow winding path up to the next area. When you reach the clearing with an enormous magma pool, you will want to keep to the left as you move back towards the keep. Jump through the small window that is visible and accessible from outside, but be careful as a single Abductor Virgin will aggressively attempt to attack you as you make your way inside. Go to the door to the right and follow the fairly linear path ahead past Man-Serpent and Poison Noble enemies.
You should encounter a large room with several Poison Nobles kneeling before an altar and Man-Serpent guards patrolling the second floor. Head up either flight of stairs as you dispatch or run by enemies before turning and moving up the second flight of stairs. The end of the hall will hold a room that has a Stone Imp statue that requires two Stonesword Key items to deactivate the mist-wall next to it. When using the keys, drop down platform by platform carefully as the long fall will be lethal from this height. Each platform is close enough so that you do not need to run or jump at all. Walking off on the right side is more than enough. When you get to the wooden beam, you will want to move quickly as an enemy will be casting magic to try and knock you off. Reaching the last platform means you can jump off into the darkness but make sure you have enough health since you will take a little bit of unavoidable damage. After dispatching the enemies, the Seedbed Curse will be found on a corpse sitting in a chair at the very end of the hall.
Leyndell, The Royal Capital
The first of the Leyndell Seedbed Curse locations is found nearest the East Capital Rampart Site of Grace. Stay on the linear path into the city and keep left as you move along the wall infested with various enemies to the large tower through the first door you see. Once inside the tower, follow the stairs downwards amidst desks and bookcases overgrown with plant-life. You should see a door straight ahead with a lift. Take the lift down to a small bridge that brings you into a second tower with a Perfumer enemy. Climb up the ladder on the right side of the room to a room with yet another set of stairs taking you one level higher. Go up the stairs, and you will see the corpse holding the Seedbed Curse in the middle of a large flat roof area.
The second Leyndell location for the Seedbed Curse is on the opposite side of the Capital city, closer to the West Capital Rampart. Head south from the Site of Grace, out onto the walkway on top of the rampart. On the right-hand side, there will be a break in the wall that drops down to an area that looks to be full of ash and rubble. Walk off the edge to land on the roof of the shed below and make your way northwest to where a colossal tree root with be coming down from above. Use the roof to the right of that to hop up into the keep right in front of you. You should recognize the inside of the keep as the Roundtable Hold, only very empty and abandoned here. Stay to the right and follow the hallway to the end, where it will open up to a room with high ceilings and lots of books. There should be yet another corpse holding a Seedbed Curse in the back.
Haligtree
The first of two Haligtree locations the Seedbed Curse can be picked up at starts from the Prayer Room Site of Grace. Go out of the arched doorway to the right of the Site of Grace and follow the straight walkway to the very end after a small flight of steps. You should see a narrow bridge that heads down right over the railing you will want to hop onto. Jump to the platform to the northwest with a gazebo-like structure in the center. Run directly across and hop on the second narrow bridge heading back upwards. After getting to the end of the short bridge on the ridge, walk along the edge to the very end to find the Seedbed Curse on the chair-ridden corpse.
The final Seedbed Curse in Haligtree is also most easily reached from the Prayer Room Site of Grace. Head through the same arched doorway on the right-hand side as the previous Haligtree Seedbed Curse location. At the very end, on the right, where the stairs lead down, follow the stairs down and drop off the side onto a second lower set of steps. Continue north and down the stairs but stop just short of the arched doorway. Jump over the railing on the right side to land on another narrow bridge before once again dropping even further to the right where a platform holding an arched doorway with, you guessed it, even more stairs down should await. After the second flight of steps, there will be a path to the right where the Seedbed Curse corpse shall be found right on a ridge next to a drop. You can now waltz back over and hand these to Dung Eater to continue on your way to curse the world and feel proud that you will bring about a new age of rot with the Blessing of Despair ending.
