Joaquin Phoenix Created A Hit With His Portrayal of the DC Villain
Heath Ledger gave an unforgettable performance as the psychotic DC villain, but Joaquin Phoenix made his own mark. The actor has many memorable roles in the films Gladiator, Her, and Walk the Line. He earned a much deserved Academy Award for his role in Joker. Now Joaquin Phoenix will get to continue his chaotic portrayal for the DC psychological thriller film sequel. Casting Phoenix as the lead paid off for Todd Phillips, so it is no surprise that there will be a Joker sequel. Neither Todd Phillips nor Joaquin Phoenix has made a statement regarding the sequel Joker: Folie a Deux. The stairs that Phoenix’s Joker danced down became a popular meme during the movie’s run. Phoenix’s Joker astounded and horrified audiences. The DC psychological thriller sequel film will surely do the same.
Since this is the beginning stages of the second film, there is no release date or start date for production.
