Marvel’s Midnight Suns has released a brand new cinematic trailer as part of the Summer Game Fest 2022, unveiling a host of new characters and details during the showcase. The new Marvel’s Midnight Suns trailer confirmed various new characters for the game, including Spider-Man. The game will be released on October 7, 2022.
Marvel Midnight Suns Cinematic Trailer and Release Date
The new Marvel’s Midnight Suns trailer revealed during the Summer Game Fest 2022 showcased some brand new details on the upcoming tactical role-playing game, including new character reveals. Announced back in September 2021, Marvel’s Midnight Suns will allow players to take control of various supernatural characters from across the Marvel Comics universe, including Iron Man, Blade, Captain Marvel, Ghost Rider, and the newly-confirmed character of Spider-Man.
Players will have access to a variety of customizable abilities as Hunters. They will need to take on the forces of the evil Elder Goddess Lilith, who seems to be working with new enemies in the form of Fallen versions of Sabretooth, Scarlet Witch, the Hulk, and Venom, and other Marvel villains. Early gameplay from 2021 includes details on the card-based powers that players will use in combat.
While the game was originally expected to release in March 2022, it was delayed in November of last year. They stated in a Tweet:
“We decided to share that we’ve made the very tough decision to move our launch window to the second half of 2022. We know many fans were looking forward to playing the game originally next spring, and this decision did not come lightly. We decided to push our launch because we need more time to make this the best game possible. We believe in our creative vision for Marvel’s Midnight Suns and want to do justice in delivering an unforgettable adventure set in the supernatural side of Marvel. These extra months will be used to add more story, cinematics, and overall polish and will be essential in helping us make our vision a reality.”
The game will now officially launch on October 7, 2022, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC,
