The new Batman V. Superman trailer just dropped and provides plenty of action packed scenes. It also reveals what brings our heroes together in the end for what looks to be one epic battle. Here’s a quick summary of the trailer.
The trailer opens with Clark Kent interviewing Bruce Wayne at a party about the “Bat Vigilante.” There is really some great dialogue here with these two going back and forth, particularly from Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne responding to Clark Kent’s statement about the Bat Vigilante thinking he’s above the law. We also see a bit of a different take on Lex Luthor than we’ve seen in the past. Jesse Eisenburg brings a bit of a quirkiness to the character opposed to a more hardened approach.
We see plenty of additional action throughout the trailer with Batman and Superman exchanging blows and this pretty notable line from Superman, “Just stay down. If I wanted it, you’d be dead already.” Then comes the big reveal at the end which is the catalyst which unites our heroes from the DC universe.
It appears that Lex Luthor is planning some sort of modification of Zod’s body. We got an idea of this in the first full-length trailer that was released. Here we see the outcome of what he’s done. Doomsday. Yes, it appears that it will be Doomsday that’s appearing in Batman vs Superman as the other main villain next to Lex Luthor. We also see Wonder Woman appear blocking a heat vision blast from Doomsday and both Batman and Superman wondering who she is with.
