Flying Wild Hog and Focus Entertainment have officially announced via Twitter that their upcoming vampire-slaying cowboy shooter Evil West has been delayed to November 22 this year.
The reason for the delay is, of course, to ensure that the game reaches its full potential. In simple terms, they need more time to polish the game to a state where it will be more enjoyable.
Evil West was originally planned to come out on September 20. Still, the announcement of the delay from Focus Entertainment has explained that the game needs more time so that they can “provide our players with not only good but also lasting memories.”
The company also explained that it may have taken too much upon itself, as deciding to release the game on five different platforms at the same time seems to be one of the reasons for the delay of Evil West. The game is planned to release on PC, PS4, PS5,
“We are working our very best to achieve our vision of Evil West, and to meet your expectations,” read the announcement. “Evil West releases on five platforms, including multiple generations of consoles. Giving our game more polish is crucial to provide our players with not only good but also lasting memories. To ensure that the game reaches its full potential, we have made the decision to delay the worldwide launch of Evil West to November 22, 2022.”

The game is being developed by Flying Wild Hog and is being published by Focus Entertainment. The developer is best known for the Shadow Warrior series published by Devolver Digital.
Focus Entertainment is also publishing A Plague Tale: Requiem later this year. The sequel to the surprise hit A Plague Tale is expected to launch on October 18 for PC, PS5, and
