As you progress through the Saints Row: Reboot storyline, you will build your way through your Criminal Enterprise and increase your tier. Once you reach Tier 3, you will have the opportunity to unlock something called Cutting Edge. Purchasing Cutting Edge will allow you to find Cutting Edge Materials in the wilds of Santo Ileso, but it will cost a whopping $400,000.

Finding Cutting Edge Materials

Now that you know where to look for materials, now you need to worry about how to find them. To begin with, open up your map and search for spray can icons. These icons mark spots where materials can be found and collected. Grab your favorite vehicle and get ready to go searching.

You can talk to Edith, the NPC, who will task you with finding various materials to start customizing your game. Once you reach the location where the spray can icon is, you’ll have to use your in-game phone’s camera to look around for the materials in a small area. The map icon will include the material description and a hint about where the material could be hiding. Once you’ve found the material, all you have to do is snap a picture of it with your phone.

Once you’ve collected pictures of the Cutting Edge materials, you can use them free to customize your character’s clothing, vehicles, and weapons anytime you’d like.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
