Fans of the franchise will undoubtedly be excited to learnย that the next Battlefield titleย is now in active development over at DICE. David Vaderlind,ย development director at DICE, broke the news on Twitter.
Now that we’ve shipped Battlefront and a part of the team continues to work on it, I am moving on to another project, the next Battlefield..

EA has stated in the past that it had no plans for annualย Battlefield releases, butย they certainly seem to be releasedย with increasingย frequency. In the past four years, three new Battlefield titles have been released with the most recent earlier in 2015. While no set date for this newest installment to the franchiseย has beenย given, EA did say earlier this year that it was looking for a 2016 holiday release.
In the meantime be sure to check out Battlefield 4 which has still been seeingย fairly frequent DLC. The most recently released has been the “Night Operations” and “Community Operations.” The newest entry in the Battlefield franchise will also be returning to it’s military theme which it departed from in Hardline with the cops and robbers theme and DICE promises “More features. More extras. More Destruction.”
