Want to know where to get Fungal Spores in Genshin Impact? Along with the recent global patch Genshin Impact 3.0, the game has a beautiful new Sumeru region, several new Dendro-type playable characters, and a lot of other game content. Once you get the Dendro character, you’ll probably want to ascension him, and for that, you’ll need new materials located only in the Sumeru region. One such material is the Fungal Spores required for the ascension of Tignari’s character Dendro. Luckily finding and getting Fungal Spores in Genshin Impact is pretty easy, and our guide will help you with that.

Where to Get Fungal Spores in Genshin Impact

Even though Fungal Spores sound like the name of a plant or fungus that can be found in the forest, it is not. To get Fungal Spores in Genshin Impact, you must travel to the Sumeru region and defeat one of the following Fungal monsters:

  • Stretchy Pyro Fungus
  • Stretchy Anemo Fungus
  • Grounded Hydroshroom
  • Winged Cryoshroom
  • Winged Dendroshroom
  • Floating Hydro Fungus
  • Floating Dendro Fungus
  • Whirling Cryo Fungus
  • Whirling Electro Fungus
  • Stretchy Goo Fungus

Killing each of them will give you a high chance of dropping Fungal Spores.

Fungal Spores only drop from mushroom monsters from level 1 to 40. Therefore, be sure to choose lower-level characters when farming these creatures. Since using high-level characters, high-level mushroom monsters will spawn near you, killing which you will receive Luminescent Pollen and Crystalline Cyst Dust.

Where to Find Fungal Monster

To find the Fungal Monster, visit the Sumeru region and walk across the local plains. These creatures live in different places throughout the region map, so it is relatively easy to find a few. But to make it easier for you to look, below you will see a map of the places where these creatures live.

How to Use Fungal Spores in Genshin Impact

As we said earlier, Fungal Spores are a one-star material for ascension Dendro characters and weapons. So far, there is only the Dendro character Tignari that requires Fungal Spores to ascend. Fungal spores are necessary for his early Tignari ascension, but to ascend to higher levels, you will need Nilotpala Lotus.

Also, you can use Fungal Spores to ascension two weapons:

  • End of the line
  • Fruit of Fulfillment
