Netflix has finally cast the actors to play Prince William and Kate Middleton in season six of The Crown. According to Deadline, teenager Rufus Kampa will portray Prince William at age 15, while Ed McVey will portray him in his later teen and early adult years. Meg Bellamy will portray Kate Middleton. All three actors are newcomers with no previous work in television. Season five of The Crown will stream in November, and season six will be the last season of the acclaimed series. While this may be a sad goodbye for some fans, they may have a prequel series to look forward to.

Professional Debuts as Prince William and Kate Middleton on ‘The Crown’

Season six of The Crown marks the professional debut of these three newcomers. While Kampa is still young and has never acted in television, he has numerous stage credits to his name, including the title role in Sue Townsend’s The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole 13 & 3/4s: The Musical on the West End. McVey is a 2021 graduate of the Drama Centre London, and he had understudied in the play Camp Siegfried. Bellamy career thus far has consisted of amateur dramatics and film-making. The three newcomers will start filming their television debuts later this year.

Meanwhile, viewers can look forward to season five of The Crown, which GQ expects will cover the more turbulent years of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign. Imelda Staunton (who many will remember as the loathesome Dolores Umbridge in Harry Potter) will take over the role of the Queen in the final two seasons. The Queen was portrayed by Claire Foy in the first two seasons, and Olivia Coleman portrayed her in season three and season four. This season will also star Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret, Jonathan Pryce as the Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip; Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana; and Dominic West as the Prince of Wales.

Season five will premiere in November. No release date for season six has been announced. But since these new actors are filming soon, we can probably look forward to seeing Kate Middleton and Prince William on The Crown next year.
