The Last of Us is a game that is amazing, controversial, and fun. It has everything that players could ever ask for. And even things that players didn’t ask for. The Last of Us Part 1 is a remake of the 2013 hit title that launched for PS3. Which then had a remaster in 2014 for the PS4. A sequel that launched in 2020. And now, with its PS5 remake releasing, there are yet again some tips you need to know. One of them is The Last of Us Weapon Upgrades that you should get first. If you want to know how to invest everything first to optimize your playthrough, this guide is here to point you in the right way.

Best The Last of Us Weapon Upgrades To Get First

If you’re someone who played the original version of the game then you’ll be happy to know The Last of Us weapon upgrades haven’t changed. They remain exactly the same. Yet, there are some The Last of Us upgrades you should get earlier rather than later.

The Hunting Rifle

Without a doubt, this weapon has very costly upgrades but all of them are worth getting. The first one of The Last of Us weapon upgrades you should get for the rifle is the scope. This will be very helpful, especially for parts of the game with open areas. After that, you should invest in Power and Armor-piercing.

The Bow

If you want to go full-stealth or at least try to make it out without alerting all the Infected, the bow should be next on your list. The next on our The Last of Us weapon upgrades you should get for the bow is the range. Increasing the range of the bow will help you a lot when picking off targets one by one.

The Last of Us Best Upgrades

9mm Pistol

The next one on your list of The Last of Us weapon upgrades should be the 9mm pistol. While not strictly necessary, it can be very helpful during the early levels. Increasing its rate of fire will help you against a lot of enemies. Especially when they group up and you’re up against the corner.

The Flamethrower

Finally, we have the flamethrower. You should get this weapon around the mid-game part of The Last of Us. You are going to use it primarily to get rid of Bloaters. Some of the most annoying enemies in the whole game. For that, we recommend investing in power first.

If you want to get all The Last of Us weapon upgrades you’re going to need more playthroughs. Thankfully, once you start getting into the new plus territory, things will get a lot easier. As always remember to keep up with The Last of Us upgrades and if you already own the game, you can download it now.
