Genshin Impact How to Cook Tighnari’s Special Dish Recipe
This article is over 3 years old and may contain outdated information.

Genshin Impact fans usually pull new characters like Tighnari for combat gameplay or desirable aesthetic reasons, but playable units also provide additional benefits, including exploration advantages and Special Dish Recipes. For example, Amber is the only person who can cook the Outrider’s Champion Steak, and Prosperous Peace is the exclusive cuisine of Ganyu. These Special Foods provide bonus combative or restorative advantages that excel the default meal’s standard recipe. Accordingly, Genshin Impact fans are likely eager to know how they can get their hands on Tighnari’s Special Food by unlocking the recipe and learning which ingredients to gather.

Tighnari’s Special Food in Genshin Impact is the Forest Watcher’s Choice, a more nutritious variation of the Mushroom Hodgepodge. By default, the Mushroom Hodgepodge is capable of bolstering all party members’ DEF by 126 for 300 seconds when consumed. On the other hand, Forest Watcher’s Choice increases this DEF buff to 151 for the same duration.

The Mushroom Hodgepodge is a Sumeru-exclusive recipe that is not available by default. Fortunately, the means to acquire the recipe is not difficult. However, there are several quest-related prerequisites involved. Thanks to Game8, players can know exactly which steps are needed to unlock the item:

Step No. Walkthrough Details
1
  • Players must gain access to the Vanarana Area and speak with Arapacati, an NPC located southwest of the Statue of the Seven in Vanarana.
  • This area is unlocked by completing “World of Aranara” in the “Dream Nursery” World Quest series.
2
  • Next, players must follow a smoke signal to Arachatora, an Aranara.
  • This Aranara must be healed using any Dendro ability.
3
  • After following the quest markers of “Cooking, the Flavor of Nature,” players will eventually come upon a cave full of water.
  • To drain it, fans must defeat Ruin enemies to unlock the seal of a Cube Mechanism, which can be used to remove the water.
4
  • Finally, players must neutralize a Withering Zone to complete the quest objective.
  • Once this is done, return to Arachatora and finish the quest to receive Tighnari’s Special Dish Recipe in Genshin Impact.

To cook Forest Watcher’s Choice, players will need one stack of Rukkhashava Mushrooms, a Starshroom, and an ordinary Mushroom. Rukkhashava Mushrooms grow in the Lokapala Jungle of Sumeru. Starshrooms can be found in multiple areas across Sumeru and within The Chasm, and Mushrooms grow in every region of Teyvat.
