After making the rounds on social media, dating rumors of a budding romance between former NBA star Lamar Odom and transgender actress Daniiellè Alexis have been put to rest. Speaking to TMZ, a source close to the retired athlete confirmed the two were not dating, but simply knew each other and had a friendly dynamic.
The source also revealed that Lamar, who finalized his divorce from The Kardashians star Khloè Kardashian in 2016, was single and not dating anyone. The revelation squashed dating rumors that have flooded the media since Daniiellè Alexis shared a photo of her and Lamar Odom, seemingly cozying up to each other.

Sources also shared details of Daniiellè Alexis and Lamar Odom’s history, further confirming the nature of their relationship. According to sources, the duo met each other in June, when the former Lakers star visited Los Angeles for the BET Awards. The 42-year-old was reportedly out shopping when Daniiellè’s car pulled up in front of him. The trans-actress then approached him and asked for a photo.
After the encounter, the twosome exchanged numbers and have since kept in touch, with their related careers serving as common grounds. Following Lamar’s recent move to LA, the friends met up again and grabbed lunch together, immortalizing their shared moments in photos.
Daniiellè Alexis shared some of those photos on Instagram, which many mistook for confirmation that she and Lamar Odom were dating.
Lamar Odom Still Into Khloè Kardashian
Rumor mills aside, the father of three has also made it clear where his heart truly lay. Following the official premiere of The Kardashians on Hulu, Lamar Odom, who became a constant fixture on Keeping Up With The Kardashians during his seven-year marriage to Khloè, shared his thoughts on her new life.
In an interview with ET, the star admitted his ex-wife’s reality show has become his guilty pleasure. On what he thought about her new baby with Tristan Thompson after his cheating scandal, he divulged:
“It was hard for me to watch that. It’s always going to be hard for me to watch someone I love so much sad like that.”
Knowing there was little he could do to make a difference, Lamar, who has been vocal about his intentions to reconnect with his ex-wife, could only wish the Good American founder happiness amid all the drama.
Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian tied the knot in 2009 and enjoyed marital bliss for four years. However, the athlete’s continuous extramarital affairs and struggle with substance abuse eventually took a toll on their marriage. In 2013, Khloè filed for divorce from the former Lakers, which was finalized three years later. Lamar Odom went on to date fitness trainer Sabrina Parr but called it quits long before his rumored romance with Daniiellè Alexis.
