During the battle over Château Miraval, a winery that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt purchased over a decade ago, the actress has new allegations of child abuse toward her ex-husband in a newly filed countersuit, which was obtained by Variety. Her legal team brought this forward regarding an altercation on a family plane ride in September 2016.
The countersuit detailed how Brad Pitt “choked” one of his children, then “struck another in the face.” In the allegations made by Angelina Jolie, she was attacked as he “grabbed Jolie by the head and shook her.” The Eternals star’s lawyer said that it started when he accused her of being “too deferential” to their children. It started in the bathroom, where it was said that he pushed “her into the bathroom wall” and “punched the ceiling of the plane numerous times.”
Angelina Jolie has more allegations against Brad Pitt regarding child abuse
The altercation in the bathroom turned to the alleged child abuse against Brad Pitt when one of the children verbally defended their mother. He “lunged” toward the child while his then-wife “grabbed him from behind to stop him.” He then “threw himself backwards into the airplane’s seats,” and this injured her “back and elbow.” The kids jumped to help, but after he “choked one” and “struck another in the face,” they “pleaded” for him to stop. When they landed, they went separate ways and went to a hotel, but when she told him about the hotel, he “screamed at her, and pushed her down.”
The allegations Angelina Jolie has against Brad Pitt over child abuse following his lawsuit from earlier this year. He claimed that she violated “contractual rights” after she sold her half of the winery without him knowing. The countersuit detailed a conversation with the actor’s legal team about her selling her half and how he wanted her to sign “a nondisclosure agreement that would have contractually prohibited her from speaking outside of court about Pitt’s physical and emotional abuse of her and their children.”
In August, it was reported that Angelina Jolie made anonymous allegations in a 2016 lawsuit. She spoke with an FBI agent, who concluded that they would not go forward with charging her then-husband, resulting in her filing a Freedom of Information Act suit against the FBI for information on their investigation.
