Domination is interesting in terms of Call of Duty‘s game modes as it’s really fun. Though, the complexity of it may throw some players off.

How to Win Domination in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

In Domination, there will be two teams, each consisting of 6 players. This means you’ll have 5 other players with you to help obtain a victory. Now, there are 3 objectives that you’ll be fighting for dominance over A, B, and C.

Each objective is shown as an area of the map with a small circle around it. You’ll have to gain control of each objective by standing within the circle around it and making sure the opposing team’s players stay out. Any time you are standing in the circle, your control will slowly rise until it reaches 100, and the objective will be yours, thus making Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2‘s Domination a challenge.

However, if the other team’s players stand in it with you there as well, the domination counter will not move until only one team is present. That being said, it’s extremely important to have good communication with your teammates so you can hopefully keep control of the objectives and gain that victory fast!

How Scoring Works in Domination

The scoring for Domination is a bit tricky to understand in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Once you have control of an objective, your team will receive 1 point every 5 seconds for that objective. So, if you have all 3 objectives under your control and uncontested, that means you’ll be raking in 3 points every 5 seconds.

To win, your team must reach 200 points before the opposing team does. Keep in mind that this may take quite some time, and it isn’t a game mode that you’ll be in and out of in 5 minutes. Expect Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Domination games to last at least 12-15 minutes.

Hopefully, this gave you all the information you need to know about how to play Domination in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare! Be sure to check back often for more guides on Modern Warfare 2!
