BiP‘s Eliza Isichei recently shared updates about her relationships with Rodney Matthews and Justin Glaze after filming ended. Eliza, Rodney, and Justin were entangled in one of Bachelor In Paradise‘s season 8 biggest love triangles. Unfortunately, the outcome didn’t favor any of the trio, and Eliza walked away loveless. However, the BiP alum is sure she learned some excellent lessons while on the show. Read on for the details.
BiP’s Eliza Isichei Wanted Justin To Fight For Her
Eliza was one of five women to come on the show during the split week. Eliza and Rodney formed a connection, after which he dumped Lace Morris to pursue her.
Meanwhile, Justin, who had previously been eliminated, returned to the beach to meet Eliza. He asked her out on a date, and when Eliza told Rodney about it, he surprisingly nudged her on. However, the former Bachelor Nation contestant was unhappy about his stance.
Eliza confessed that she wanted him to fight for her and tell her he didn’t want her to go. However, Rodney’s position cast doubts on her view of their relationship. Hence, the TV personality began leaning toward Justin. “I just felt so blindsided [by Rodney],” BiP’s Eliza Isichei told HollywoodLife.
“I felt like we started so strong and then having that one conversation, I wanted him to fight for me a little bit. Not [tell me] that I couldn’t go on the date, but just be like, ‘I don’t want you to.’ I think that kind of derailed us a little bit. In the end, I had feelings for both and I just feel like I had stronger feelings for Justin in that moment,” she explained.
Eliza Has Talked To Rodney And Justin Since Filming Ended
Eliza, Rodney, and Justin’s love triangle ended with her choosing Rodney and giving him her rose. The University of Florida alum admitted on the show that she chose him out of pressure. She confessed that the positive opinions of the rest of the cast on Rodney were part of what pressured her to choose him over Justin at first. But in the end, she decided to follow her instincts.
The Creator Partnerships manager dumped Rodney the next day and left the beach to pursue Justin. However, Justin didn’t want to be her second choice, so he rejected her, and Eliza left the show single.
The BiP alum disclosed that she reached out to Rodney after filming.
“I have so much respect for him, so I did reach out and apologize for how everything went down. I told him it wasn’t personal and told him I hope he’s doing well. That was the last conversation we had, except for [filming the BIP reunion). The same goes for Justin,” she added.
The reality TV star stated that she has no regrets, only lessons learned. “I think I really did my best,” she claimed. Hopefully, she will find her true love one day.
