Mighty No. 9

Well, this is slightly embarrassing.  Keiji Inafune’s Mighty No. 9 has been set back another couple months and won’t be releasing until Spring 2016. The reasoning behind the pushed date was explained in a fully-typed, apologetic letter posted on the Kickstarter page earlier today.

The creator,  Keiji Inafune, went into specific detail clarifying the source as “rooted bugs” embedded in network mode and connection through matchmaking.

[su_quote cite=”Keiji Ianfune” url=”https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mightyno9/mighty-no-9/posts/1473777″]There are two large reasons for this problem, one of them being the large number of platforms supported (the solution for each platform is slightly different) and the other stems from the fact that the engine we are using is no longer being updated which means adjustments for matchmaking and online code are being made manually (actually reprogramming parts of the engine by the dev team themselves).[/su_quote]

Although fans and Kickstarter of Mighty No. 9 are undergoing disbelief of when the title will actually be releasing, Keiji and the development team reassured his supporters with the utmost apology throughout the rest of the letter.

[su_quote cite=”Keiji Ianfune” url=”https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mightyno9/mighty-no-9/posts/1473777″]For this 3rd delay of the game, we have no excuses for disappointing our fans and especially our backers once more. We want to take this chance to express our sincerest apologies to everyone who has looked forward to the release.[/su_quote]

This isn’t the first time Mighty No. 9 has had issues pertaining the network and matchmaking issues as those bugs have been causing problems since the first delay. Expect Mighty No. 9 to be on PS4, PS Vita, 3DS, Wii U, Xbox One, and PC/Steam sometime Spring of 2016.
