Well, this is slightly embarrassing.  Keiji Inafune’s Mighty No. 9 has been set back another couple months and won’t be releasing until Spring 2016. The reasoning behind the pushed date was explained in a fully-typed, apologetic letter posted on the Kickstarter page earlier today.
The creator,  Keiji Inafune, went into specific detail clarifying the source as “rooted bugs” embedded in network mode and connection through matchmaking.

Although fans and Kickstarter of Mighty No. 9 are undergoing disbelief of when the title will actually be releasing, Keiji and the development team reassured his supporters with the utmost apology throughout the rest of the letter.

This isn’t the first time Mighty No. 9 has had issues pertaining the network and matchmaking issues as those bugs have been causing problems since the first delay. Expect Mighty No. 9 to be on PS4, PS Vita, 3DS, Wii U,
