Jedis, bounty hunters, droids, and traitors rejoice! Star Wars: The Force Awakens  is set to hit Blu-Ray this April! Earlier today, Amazon notified

Earlier today, Amazon contacted customers that have pre-ordered the sci-fi epic that they will receive their copy on April 5th. Priced at a $19.99 there is no news if this will include either a DVD copy or a Digital HD version of the film. Special features have also not been announced so there is no information if this Blu-Ray will just include the film alone. However, what we do know is that there will be no extended version of Star Wars: The Force Awakens available. In an interview a couple weeks back, director J.J. Abrams explained the length of the film’s original cut.

Falcon

“I don’t know what the longest cut was. Probably, if it were with credits, close to two hours and 50 minutes was the first cut.” Abrams went on stating, “It’s two years of very intense work by a lot of people. I’m so happy with the work that people did, even the people you don’t see in the movie, like the puppeteers, I watched them in 120 degrees heat in Abu Dhabi bring BB-8 to life, and then we (use of CGI) them out of the movie, and I’m just so happy people get to see what they did.” Star Wars: The Force Awakens will, however, include deleted scenes that were taken out of the film, so hopefully they can fill in some of the story gaps that were left unanswered.

Make sure to pre-order your copy of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, releasing on Blu-Ray April 5th

What did you think of Star Wars: The Force Awakens? Will you be picking it up on Blu-Ray? What deleted scene do you want to see? Sound off below!
